Changed Pakistan

It was never easy to describe a country like Pakistan. Pakistanis have witnessed so much since 1947. Wars, celebrations, victories, defeats hidden in the shroud of victories, terrorism and of course, partitions. Pakistanis have enjoyed little time of democracy and most of our history is tarnished with dictatorship, both military and civilian.
Pakistan’s pseudo-domocracy was always shared between two parties namely PML-N and PPP. In other words, between Bhuttos/Zardaris and Sharifs. They both had their territories like Sharif’s stronghold was Punjab (central Punjab) and Bhuttos were spread over Sindh. It was less of a democracy and more of dynasties.
A month ago, July 25th changed everything. This cycle of exchanging governments to loot Pakistan, ended with unexpected victory of a third party, PTI. I call it, not the victory of one man or his party but the victory of Pakistan.
Imran Khan, is now the PM of Pakistan. A former cricketer, philanthropist and now politician after struggling for more than 22 years, starting from nothing to being the most popular leader, he is a symbol of hope now. Hope for change, that he will change our country’s direction towards a better future.
What lessons i took from his story?
1- No matter how hard your journey is, keep moving forward.
2- If people laugh at you and your ambition, use that as a motivation.
3- Be who you are and never be afraid to make mistakes.
4- Your goal is defined by your determination to achieve it.
5- Never let people dictate your journey.
And last, but not the least, have a vision bigger than yourself.
Imran Khan, no matter how much people criticise him, has done things what no one else could. My hopes and efforts are with him.
