Education: A matter of life and death for Pakistan

In Pakistan, PPP (People’s party) govt. Was the first so called democratic govt. to complete it’s tenure, followed by PMLN (Pakistan Muslim League N). Ppp govt. did nothing but to pass time and was involved in mega corruption scandals that ruined this country to it’s core. They also promoted extreme social polarization and radicalization in society (Especially in province of Sindh). PMLN govt. was relatively better as it seemed at that time because of their mega projects but only a few of them ever completed and rest were burned in fire of corruption of Sharif family. But none of them gave any attention to education sector. PMLN wasted funds for education on useless things. They take credit for making roads, other projects like metro bus and orange line train (most in central Punjab only).

But what good is infrastructure if people have no education to use it for good of themselves and Society. A very simple example i can give is of a road crossing in front of my home. No one understands, how to cross it as it was desinged by engineers. But people were not educated/trained how to use it. As a result, the solution provided to solve traffic issue, ended up creating more harm than any good.

Without education there is no future for Pakistan.

“Education is a matter of life and death for Pakistan. The world is progressing so rapidly that without requisite advances in education, not only shell we be left behind others but may be wiped out altogether”

-Muhammad Ali Jinnah

(Founder of Pakistan) 1947 Karachi
