A Christmas Carol by BBC One - New miniseries looks too dark

Christmas is on it's way and like every year there will be Christmas related movies and special episodes of each series. I have always been a fan of Doctor Who Christmas specials. Like everyone, i loved Christmas Carol released 2009, staring Jim Carry as Ebenezer Scrooge.

This December, BBC One is releasing a miniseries titled "A Christmas Carol".

The story is by Charles Dickens.

The story is about Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter old miser that despises Christmas holidays but in this miniseries by BBC, he is shown to be a much darker and cruel. It is safe to say it looks like a dark horror take on the classic story of Charles Dickens.

Scrooge at Christmas night is visited by three ghosts to show him his past, present and future. They will haunt him to make him realize his sins.

Scrooge is played by Guy Pearce, known for his role in movie "Time machine" and Villain in "Iron Man 3". The ghost of the Christmas is played by "Andy Serkis". Apparently, Tom Hardy is also in series but haven't been shown in trailer released by BBC One.

I loved the trailer and i am waiting to see this dark turn on story. I reviewed the trailer (In URDU, but English version will be uploaded soon)

Looking at the trailer and cast in miniseries i can say this Christmas will be full of entertainment.
