Watchmen Series episode 3 - Deals with the mess Dr. Manhattan left behind

One of the most exciting and thrilling TV shows right now is HBO' WATCHMEN. So, far its 3rd episode has been released and it is mesmerizing. You feel deep into a mystery and reference to a complex situation, so alien yet familiar at the same time.
The episode 3 starts with Laurie Blake (Jean Smart) in a phone booth making a call. This is a special booth, one of many all over US i think, to send wave messages to MARS for dr. Manhattan to listen. She is obsessed with telling twisted Rorschach style dark comedic jokes on the phone. Laurie Blake is working for FBI on anti-vigilante task force.
It appears that night owl is still alive but in custody as vigilantes are illegal in this universe because of Kaene Act passed. Then she is sent to investigate murder of Judd with a young inexperienced officer (whom she chose cause she didn't prefer to trust anyone else). When she appear at funeral for Judd, cavalry attempts an attack, which she and sister Night stops. Then she suspects Sister night, aka angela Abar (Ragina King) of hiding facts regarding Chief Judd's murder. The end is most unexpected as the car of Angela Abar fell from sky just a little away from Laurie and she is left laughing.
Th episode ends with a puzzled cliffhanger and it is as encrypted as any TV series episode can be with comic book references.
You all will be surprised, shocked and confused to see that last scene.
